Coach Annaliese Blecha has been CrossFitting for five years. Her favorite thing about coaching is seeing the dynamic that develops between gym members. “CrossFit is technically an individual sport, but you would never know seeing the way these athletes encourage, motivate, and push each other,” she says. “And don’t forget the friendly rivalries!”

An avid distance runner, Annaliese was sidelined by a skiing injury that kept her from running for a year. While she was working to regain her strength and stamina, a friend introduced her to CrossFit. She fell in love. “While I can still be convinced to run the occasional race, I’d much rather spend the day competing in CrossFit!” she says.
